Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Riverbank is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Riverbank is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Outstanding products and people! I have been working with Morris Wholesale Nursery for years as a landscaper and nursery owner, and they have never let me down. Their plant quality is consistently excellent, and the team is always a pleasure to deal with. They go out of their way to help, they know their plants, and they are incredibly courteous! Morris Nursery has been around since 1963; the complainer with a vivid imagination has only been around since April 2026. Need I say more?

5/5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I have been sourcing my wholesale nursery stock from Morris Nursery for over thirty years, and my experience could not be more different from the negative reviews posted here. Over three decades of consistent ordering, I have never had a single issue with their plant quality or their customer serviceThe team at Morris operates with an immense amount of horticultural knowledge, kindness, and professional respect. All the staff drivers and owner work incredibly hard and in my 30 plus year of experience of buying stock from them have been nothing less than AMAZING!! It is disheartening to see a newer business owner try to blame an established, top-tier grower for their own operational frustrations. Morris Nursery is an absolute staple for high-quality stock, and they have my highest recommendation and loyalty for life. Thank you All at Morris Wholesale for years of knowledge Plants and kindness you all are much appreciated 💕

(Wholesale buyer) Summary: 2 orders, both with recurring, persistent issues. Credits to items but no efforts to remedy ongoing issues or make things right with the customer. Would not recommend ordering from Morris unless it is for a special order you cannot find anywhere else. Unfriendly and unhelpful employees. Position: owner of Eden Garden Center in Murphys. First order: around March. Did not go through with a fine toothed comb. Two bay laurels were beyond infested with scale. I noticed only when it spread to my other plants. I remediated for 2 weeks and ended up having to throw away the laurels because I could not get rid of the scale with organic methods and keep them away. I called to let them know to check the rest of their batch. Admin thanked me for letting her know. Did not offer credit or any way to make it right. I only reordered because there were special orders that I couldn't find anywhere else since February. In-person trip: went looking for 6 packs of creeping phlox. Walked around the wholesale grounds. Plant quality was so bad I left with nothing. Almost none of the plants looked retail ready. Watering issues, pests and disease everywhere. Overgrown plants. Dead
